Gift idea for her!

Eeeeep! The weathers gotten so much colder recently, the fluffy socks have came out and the onesies been put on. There's only one thing good about this.. Christmas is fast approaching!

As I'm only 15 and earning money is something that I can't particularly do, buying presents is always a difficult task because you always want them to be nice and not show how cheap they were. So that's what this post is about, an affordable gift you can give out at Christmas or even for a birthday!

This year, I had 3 friends to buy for and this was perfect which is why I chose this idea.

I was in Sainsbury's and I noticed that they'd half priced some mugs to 75p, bargain?! But you don't have to get them from Sainsbury's, so many places do cheap cute mugs but this is just where I got mine from. The next thing I got was a little sachet of hot chocolate, this is nearly always on 3 for 2, or 4 for so many pounds, so I picked up 4 and had one for myself. I got cadburys because most people like it - I got 2 normal ones and 2 caramel ones! These were 4 for £1. I didn't think that this was enough so I thought of buying them a pair of socks each. I got mine from new look as they are 3 pairs for £4, but you can get them from anywhere cheap, maybe primark do some cheaper! Instead of socks you could have a pair of gloves, like the animal mitten type ones from Primark, I think they're only £2-£3!

So in total, for 3 gifts I paid £7.25. That's just under £2.50 per gift!

Another thing you can buy someone that's cheap is the Simple mini trio which was £3 from Superdrug.

Do you have any cheap gift ideas for her?

Button swap!

Hello everyone, just a quick random post here! I just wanted to write this to say that I am up for doing button swaps with anyone who wants too! A button swap is basically an advertising opportunity where I add your button to my blog and you add mine to yours. Everyone gains a bit more publicity from this so everyone wins! If you would like to do a button swap, please leave a comment on this post, or e-mail me at: makeupyourmindx@gmail.com :)

British Blogger Selection | Favourite Clothes Shop

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be doing my second post for the British blogger selection. If you don't know what this is you can click here

The theme for this week is our favourite clothes shop! I love shopping for clothes but there is only one store that stands out.. guess what it is? yep, you guessed it! Primark!

I absolutely adore shopping in Primark. Everything is so cheap and cheerful. Primark don't just do clothes they do other bits too, which I love because you can always go in there and find many different things which you wouldn't normally find if you just went to somewhere like Topshop, e.g. homeware items!

The price of all Primark items are so so cheap and affordable for everyone. They always keep up to date with the trends to make sure they're offering the best range of items. The quality of some items aren't always the best, but you get what you payed for and if you look after the item then it'll last you longer than you thought it would.

The one thing I don't like about Primark is that they don't have a website where you can buy things off, arrghhhh!

What's your favourite clothing store?

New glasses!

That time of the year has come again when I take the dreaded trip to the opticians, and yet again I have to wear glasses *sigh*.

I don't wear glasses all of the time, just for the computers and looking at the board at school, which is great because I wouldn't like wearing them all the time! The ones I got this year are called "Tash" and they're from Specsavers. They're grey/black/white, I just love them! I can never wear small glasses, they always have to be on the larger size!

Do you wear glasses?

British Blogger Selection | Q&A

Join #BritishBloggerSelection

Hello everyone, today i'm going to be doing my first post as a part of the #BritishBloggerSelection, if you want to know more about this click here. This week the "theme" is a Q&A, so here goes! :)

1: Why do you like blogging?
Well I like blogging as I like to be able to have my own little space on the internet where I can say what I like and talk about things that I'm interested in. I like meeting new people and looking through other peoples blogs, everyone is so lovely!

2: How did you come up with your blog name?
Well I was talking to my friend, and all I kept saying was "I can't make up my mind" - then it clicked. It's kind of a play on words, because my blog is about make up.

3: Where in the UK are you from?
I am from the East of England.

4: Favourite colour?
Either blue or burgundy.

5: Do you like Lana Del Ray?
I wouldn't say I was a massive fan but I like some of her songs.

6: Do you have any hidden talents?
Nope I don't :(

7: Celebrity crush?
Hmm, one direction boys (obvs!), Channing Tatum, Shia LaBeouf.

8: Favourite blog of all time?
This is difficult because I'm still finding new blogs, but I'd have to say Zoella and Louise (sprinkle of glitter) - I've watched them on YouTube for a long time so I love reading their blogs.

9: What made you want to join #BritishBloggerSelection?
I just liked the idea of being able to interact with other people and discover different blogs who are from the UK x

If you're taking part in the #BritishBloggerSelection let me know as I'd love to check out your blog.

British Blogger Selection

Join #BritishBloggerSelection

Hey everyone! This is just a quick random post, but I just contacted Ellie from Little Vintage Camera to see if I could get involved in the British Blogger Selection. Of course she said yes! The aim of this is to get as many British Bloggers together as she can which I think is a lovely idea because in the blogging world you don't really know where people come from! So what's involved? All that you have to do is ask to join, you can do this by contacting Ellie, then each week she will send you an e-mail of a theme for a post. From there you blog about anything related to that theme.

I really like the whole idea of bringing several different bloggers in Britain together because most of the people you've probably never heard of, so it's a socializing opportunity too.

To be a part of this all you need to do is check out Ellie's blog.

Primark Haul | November 2013

I never have enough patience with Primark, it's normally super busy so I, most of the time, can never be bothered to have a look. But today was different, I knew from reading a few blog posts and watching a few YouTube videos that Primark had a few gems in!

The first item I got was a plain black skater style dress. This was a bargain at £5. It's just a simple skater dress, the material is stretchy so it fits nicely. This isn't short, it comes just above the knee. I'll style this with some black tights and a cardigan or jumper over top.

Next, I picked up a similar dress but this time in a red/purple colour. This colour is so autumnal but wearable throughout all of the seasons. The arms on this are 3/4 length which is perfect for winter. Again, this comes just above the knee and was £5. I will wear this the same way I do the black one. These dresses are such a staple piece and affordable. Bonus!

I next got this chunky cardigan. It's black, white and grey so it's wearable with pretty much everything. It doesn't need to be buttoned up but there are a few buttons just in case you prefer it to be done up. This was just £10 so will be great to throw over anything, including the dresses!

The last two pieces I got were this dungaree type things, but it's a skirt so I'm not sure what to call it, oops! But you know what I mean. This was £12 I also purchased a white t-shirt which is called "My Boyfriend T", it's just a plain t-shirt with rolled up sleeves, a very simple piece! This was just £3.50

So, that's everything I purchased from Primark, have you got any pieces from Primark lately?

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Hair Mask Review!

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be giving a little review on the Herbal essences beautiful ends, split end protection mask. Wow. That was a mouthful.

I absolutely adore the packaging for this product. I love how it's simple, yet nice. The red container makes it eye catching so you don't forget about using it. You get 200ml of product in each container, which lasts you quite a while. The directions for use advises you to use this hair mask once a week to give your hair some "VIP treatment", how cute does that sound?! I normally use this hair mask on a Friday night, because after a busy week at school with different weather conditions, I feel like my hair needs some nourishing! The texture is like a really thick, creamy conditioner and it's pink so that's nice. It doesn't come out pink on the hair, it just turns transparent. It also smells amazing and not at all chemically!

On to the real question - does it work? I do notice a difference in my hair the day after I use it, the split ends in my hair seem less visible. But I wouldn't say that it kept my hair from becoming damaged. It leaves my hair super soft as well as shiny which I find tricky to achieve! Even though it doesn't prevent damage, I love this product for hiding my split ends and making it smell and feel great. So yes I will be repurchasing this hair mask and trying others in the range! :)

Have you tried any hair masks? Which work best for you?

Halloween make up!

Well that was all over a bit too quickly! It seems like Halloween just flew by, but I did get plenty of sweets so I'm happy.

Today I'm just going to share with you what I did with my make up. I am subscribed to Polly on YouTube and she was doing a week of Halloween make-up/nail tutorials. The one that I absolutely loved was her Zombie style look so I attempted it! It took me no time at all and all you need was a red lipstick and brown+black eye shadow! simple :)

If you want to give this look a go then you can go and watch Polly's video here

All I wore with this was some leggings and a wide-neck top, then just put a coat over the top!:)

What did you go as for Halloween?
Lots of Love, Lucy x
